Step 4: Visual inspection of Inverter

Your system will generate lower energy in case any of the below events:

  • Inverter is not operating due to any fault.
  • Inverter is showing any error message and is not operation.
  • Inverter is operating at lower efficiency due to high temperature.

Check the inverter screen, if you find any error message or fault indication, highlight the same to your EPC partner or Inverter manufacturer company and seek their support. Another important visual inspection in inverter case is to check the filter and cooling fans of the inverter. If you found that they are filled with dust or debris, please contact your EPC partner or Inverter manufacturer company and seek their support in rectifying the same.

After rectification, again perform “Step 1” and check whether now the performance of your plant has improved or not.

By adopting and following above steps, one can easily troubleshoot and look for an issue in their low performing solar PV rooftop project. It is always recommended not to directly touch any of the cables, inverter connections, connectors, ACDB, DCDB. All of such technical work need to be done by qualified technician or EPC company or Product manufacturers. As a customer or small EPC company you can only do visual inspection.

In case, you are not satisfied with the performance of your plant even after following the above mentioned troubleshooting steps, the you surely need to contact an experienced team to work on your system and do a root-cause analysis of low performance and provide you a solution for the same.

At SolarTech Saarthi Pvt. Ltd., we do provide such services to our clients. If your plant is underperforming, book a call with our team by writing us at info@solarsaarthi.com.
